About Me


My name is Eric Ham and I train at Glossop Judo Club in Derbyshire and I am a member of the England Judo Talent Squad. I started Judo at the age of four at Raven Judo Club with my coach Bob Cheetham. When I was 7 my dad and Steve set up Glossop Judo Club and I have trained there ever since.  In 2010 I became British Judo Champion at -38 (Pre-Cadet). In 2011 I became British Cadet Champion at -42 and in 2012 I won my third British Championship in a row winning the Cadet -50kg.  I won a Silver Medal in the 2012 British Cadet Championships following this up with another Silver Medal in the 2013 Cadet British Championships. In 2013 I also won the Silver Medal in the Junior British Championships. I also won silver medals at the National Championships in 2008, 2009.  In 2013 I was selected to represent England at the Czech European Cadet Cup and the pinnacle of the year was being chosen to represent Great Britain at the European Cadet Championships.
